Ghost tuning of Human Heads

  1. Shim until you are satisfied. At present, we are achvieving shims of less than 20 Hz.
  2. Set up image acquisition (saved as protocol #13: human-ghost-tune)
  3. scan parameters (as saved) should be as follows:

  4. From the Options Menu on apd2 - Enable Save Raw Data
  5. Prescan, scan setup, and scan
  6. Wait until the image is reconstructed
  7. Utilities Menu -> Autotuning
  8. Position ROIs (boxs) where ghosts are maximal, making the ROIs as symmetric as possible (but be careful NOT to include any signal from the head in your 'ghost' region-of-interest)
  9. Click on proceed
  10. Hit accept
  11. Go back to options data, and turn save raw data off.
  12. Go back to options data AGAIN, and be sure that raw data is off.
