How To Make yer own cable

Indications:

So you wanna make a cable huhn? Here's the propa way.
This will ensure you get 100base-T connections where possible.
Hope to have a little picture/diagram sooner or (more likely) later

Treatment:

Looking down on the flat side of the plug,
with the cable coming towards me, pins numbered 1-8 from left to right:  
1--Orange/white
2--Orange
3--Green/white
4--Blue
5--Blue/white
6--Green
7--Brown/white
8--Brown 

For a crossover cable, here is what I was told to do: 

Plug 1:	Plug 2:
1--orange	1--Blue
2--Orange/white	2--Blue/white
3--Blue	3--Orange
4--empty	4--empty
5--empty	5--empty
6--Blue/white	6--Orange/white
7--empty	7--empty
8--empty	8--empty
