Setting up for Real Time Imaging

  1. Establish a target directory for the Real-Time images
  2. On the APD, edit the file: /usr/export/home/anmr/config/.apdconfigMSCMOD
    so that the line 'FILEPATH = xxx' points to your target directory.
  3. At the APD console, type "Faster" in a root window. This will bring down APD2 and restart it in Real-Time Mode.
  4. At the Signa, set up an EPI sequence with the following parameters.
  5. Sequence ismemp or isgr
    FOV 400 Matrix 128x128
    Phase FOV 200 TE Min. full or greater
  6. When APD2 is up, set the scanner to Research mode
  7. After the sequence is Downloaded on the Signa, Press Scan Setup.
  8. Select the Experiment file, fast.exp5x
  9. Scroll down to the Read FOV, and set it to 200 mm.
  10. Press Proceed.Carry on.
