How to disable table movement
Overview
I recently found out that the movement of the patient table
is done through software, and not hardware. What this means
is that it can be undone too easily. If you find that the console
is asking you to 'press advance to scan' before your scans...
This might happen after a Dr. Thomas scan, as he resets table motion,
or possibly after a really deep reboot...
Step By Step
Disable Table motion:
1- Get an xterm.
2- Login into the scanner with genesis
3- cd /usr/g/ucla
4- more DisableMotion (look at this, make sure you understand it)
5- DisableMotion [THIS WILL REBOOT SIGNA]
6- re-landmark your patient and start over.
