Guess we all found out about the microphone glitch on satchmo. Richard
discovered that under control panels monitors and sound the Listen box
should be unchecked if the microphone is plugged in to avoid this
occurence. However, it appears that every time the Mac boots up this
option is enabled, so the mike should always be unplugged.
