How 2 shutdown and re-boot the whole GE and ANMR systems (or only the AMNR system if needed) R. Lee
--------ORDERLY SHUTDOWN--------
1- take down the APD computer software (from apdII screen, pull-down from [file] menu to [shutdown APD system].
2- take down the GE 'Signa' computer software (from GE plasma screen, select [UTILITIES] and then select [shutdown].
3- take down the circuit breaker to the GE system (breaker #1 on the attached map of the 3T lab computer room).
4- take down the circuit breaker to the ANMR gradient cabinet (#2 on map).
5- take down the GREEN power switch to the ANMR (APD) computer (# 3 on the map).
6- take down the circuit breakerS in the front of the main ANMR cabinet (#4 on map).
7- take down the circuit breakerS in the BACK of the main ANMR cabinet (#5 on the map).
8- stand around and do NOTHING for about 3 minutes OR MORE with power down.
-------POWER-UP AND RE-BOOT-------
9- power up GE 'Signa' computer (#1) this will auto-boot signa scanner.
10- power up ANMR gradient cabinet (#2).
11- power-up the ANMR APD computer (#3) this will auto-boot the APD computer (up to the point of asking for a user ID and password (which will NOT be posted here on the web).
12- enter the APD password, bring-up the APDII window, and bring-up a shim window; and ONLY THEN power-up the rest of the ANMR cabinets.
